Multiple opportunities exist for students to participate as student representatives from their class in local, regional, and national meetings and conferences as MTSA promotes and encourages student’s participation in local, regional and national committees that govern CRNAs. Students are elected to these positions by their class, and appointment is confirmed by administration. MTSA financially supports student representative attendance at professional conferences as determined annually by program administration, including but not limited to the TANA Annual Conference, AANA Congress, AANA MidYear Assembly, and Tennessee Legislative Day on Capitol Hill. These activities are intended to promote learning about CRNA issues as well as enhance development of specific professional aspects in their behavior.
